Appointments
Appointments are by referral from your General Practitioner or other Specialist and can be made by phoning our Administration Team on 02 6021 7211 between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday. If you are a new patient to the practice or are returning with a new condition our Administration will explain that we require your referral first as it will be triaged by the Doctor you have been referred too. The Doctor will then determine what time frame and for how long your appointment needs to be.
If your referring Doctor feels you require an urgent appointment, you will need to ask your Doctor to speak directly to our physician before confirming a date.
What to expect at your first appointment
Prior to an appointment being made your referral is triaged by the attending physician and then our Administration Team will contact you with an appointment.
You will also receive information from us about what to expect at your first appointment along with any special instructions you need to follow before you meet your specialist, such as bringing your current medication.
We also endeavour to contact each patient the day prior to the appointment to confirm, so if you have any questions that is a great opportunity to ask them.
Fees
Our clinic fees are set marginally above the Schedule Fee rate. Payment at the time of the consultation is requested. We offer EFTPOS and Medicare Online for your convenience. Not registered with Medicare Online? Ask one of our administration team to explain how to join.
Private hospital patients admitted to hospital in most cases will not need to pay anything more than their fund covers.
Prescriptions
Remember to ask your physician at the time of consultation for any further prescriptions you may need. If you ask for a repeat prescription outside of your consultation, a fee may be incurred.
Consultation or Test Results
When calling for your results we will endeavour to either pass on results over the phone or ask your specialist physician to call you at their earliest available time.
